Within the realms of the dead there is a place beyond oblivion, a place between Heaven and Hell, where souls go to wait out their judgment, limbo to some, purgatory for others, but a veritable playground for all things that dwell within the shadows…..
‘Where the Shadows Play’ is and Campaign Setting that I have decided to create based upon a short story, I wrote a few years ago. The basic run down is this.
You and all your party members awaken to find yourselves dead and awaiting judgment in Limbo, during this time every action you make determines your fate and your final resting place. While the feel of the Campaign Setting is Fantasy, some of the background is driven from Greek mythology. By this I mean the Greek Gods rule these planes (Heaven, Hades and Limbo.) and during your stay they use you, and anyone else they see fit as their pawns against the other gods. And it is on these quests that you will be sent to travelling these 3 planes and many, many more.
